Is Schedule 40 pipe thick enough for loops?

Im building driveshaft loops and called my local metal shop and all they have is S-40 pipe. Im having him call on some S-80 now. Is S-40 gana be thick enough? Thanks

Mine are made of S40...actually they were cut offs from well casing extensions, ive never had a tech give me any grief

most rules say 1/4" steel or 3/16" aluminum...

i do not know the thickness of sch. 40 pipe tho

The thickness of the pipe varies by the diameter IIRC.

6" Sch. 40 common pipe is .28 wall 4" Pipe is very close at .237 and if you can find 5" it is .258. I have used 6" several times and it works great. and is cheap.

Im doin 6 5/8" pipe S-40. He said 1/4" thickness
