Issues with S300 wastegate cover plate.

Buddy has a GT45 over a S366 and the wastegate cover keeps blowing the gasket. Have tried silicone several times and even tried to making a gasket for it out of header gasket material and i keeps blowing through it. I have checked for flatness but it keeps blowing through it.

What gives?

How thick is it? I know a few places sell a plate thats made from 1/4 inch stock.

its whatever it comes with from htt. probably an 1/8 or so. its thick enough it shouldnt be giving any.

I know Engineered Diesel has ones that are 1/4" and 3/8".

nah, 1/8th inch is too thin, get or make a thicker one.
