Jake Brake

No one makes a compression brake for the 5.9, and wont make one til they go to a roller cam, exh.valve relief cut to the piston., Flat tappet cam cannot handle the abuse.
 
that would be so awesome if you could get a jake brake on a pickup like semis i would never use my brakes lol
 
I was told by Jacobs that the engine is too small?!? I'd really like to have one, and know of quite a few others that would as well.
 
An exhaust brake works well on Dodge size trucks. I read that some big rigs are switching to e-brakes for the sake of simplicity.
 
I have a exhaust brake on my truck. It's wayyy fun to use, but being a 3" brake, the egt's rise pretty quickly when hotrodding, but stays pretty cool when towing.
