Well this is back dated a bit. I work on it some then I get distracted by something else for awhile. This has been an on and off again project for many years now. More off than on. But decided to start working on it again. This is going catch us up to speed. We got the truck over ten years ago for a payment for a job we did for a guy. It ran back then with the flat 6. We since have sold off that original frame and drive train. Debated back and forth over chassis and drive train options. And finally decided on a small diesel, that i hope I don't regret choosing.

Saw it up on craigslist. Ad said it was for parts. Roof had been scrapped and then the ran outta time and wanted to sell it whole. It has the Mercedes om314 motor with a Allison transmission. Brakes didn't work, master cylinder was bad. But it started up and we drove it up on the tow dolly and towed her home. Got it for $800 which I was happy with. Its on a early 70s ford p350 chassis.

After 2 days it looked like this

And here is a shot of the powertrain.

That bout catches it up to now. My diesel knowledge is limited, i know far more about gasoline engines. What I do know is that these motors are basically bulletproof. I was hoping someone would know if these are able to take any kind of boost in stock form? I know they made them factory with a turbo but i havent been able to find any info on if the internals were different. And how would I go about making the injection pump work for a turbo setup?
