Tabbing the KDP and installing a new crankshaft seal tomorrow. Anything else worth doing while I've got it open? Was thinking about bumping timing to 16 degrees, still uncertain where the timing gauge goes...

yes timing if you think you can doin it with out messin it up. the guage goes in the 1st pump plunger hole. you have to find tdc(use valve drop with a guage on the # 1 piston intake valve.to find the exact spot.) i marked my balancer .005 on each side back and forth and then measured the middle to find dead nuts top dead center on # 1. Then set up your guage on the #1 plunger and get to work. Just read up on the proceedure and do it right. i think 16 would be the best.

agree with above.. but do it right when you do it... and spray each bolt and bolt hole out with brake clean and dry with shop air prior to putting the locktited bolt back in. Locktite on a oily bolt going into an oily hole dont do much good.
