Hi i took my front cover off tonight as i am getting ready to do a cam swap and figured i would look to see if i had the updated case on my 01 or not. Upon taking the cover off the dowel pin sits in a raised up portion of the case slightly higher than the bolt you would use to tab it on a 12v but the pin is still visible and looks like it could walk out. Is this the revised case everyone talks about. Also i dont think i can tab it since it is higher than the bolt but i was thinking of drilling and tapping a bolt in the side of the case right in front of the dowel pin so it cant come out. What ya guys think?:o
 
That is the revised case, i had the same one on my 99. I still tabbed mine for the hell of it cause i was in there, all you have to do is put the tab in a vise and bend it over, flip it around ben it again, in a z fashion and it will still cover half the hole. But with the stepped cover i dont think the dowel can walk out far enough to fall because it will hit the front cover and still be wedged.
