also, which is better? Kennys 3800 or an SBC con FE?

if you want to make anything over 500hp at any point might as well go for the larger input shaft and a DD.

damn, i know that. but i NEED a clutch right now and i cant afford a DD. anything over 3/4 throttle in 4th or 5th and it slips bad. cant go WOT in 3rd without slipping either.

clutch

if you can swing it get your single with a upgraded input. if it doesn't hold have kenny upgraded to a single later. i don't know your specs but kenny will work with you. pm me if you want i've used and put in for others quite a few of his clutches.

It seems more expensive to it twice? Turn down the power and save the clutch until you can fix it right?

yeah, not what im looking for. asking about Kenny's clutch. thanks anyways.

Ok Sure. Its your money. Any of the larger singles will do what you are looking for. I have seen many of the larger singles hold there rated loads (Valair, Kennys, SBC). I would echo the advice of upgrading the input shaft while you are in there. The FEs I have drove are somewhat grabby but that is the nature of a Feramic Disk.

this may be a really dumb question, but who the he!! is kenny? i keep seeing alot of happy customers with his clutches. shop name? web site? contact info? all i see is kenny... ive looked before with no luck other than just finding kenny.:bang

weve had excellent results with kennys tripple in the puller (truck pictured at the top of the truck clutches page)

Ive also had him rebuild other peoples street twins with good results.

a buddy is running kennys 3800 feramic single in a 12v that is prolly 450 hp and he tows heavy (cattle, roll bales) its got 20,000 on it and has been flawless. its not to jerky but the pedal is pretty heavy.

Put Kennys triple disc in my 2.4 truck and it's great. There was no mods needed to install it and is much more quite than the old dual disc I had.

i have a buddy running a dd on the smaller input shaft and he pulls the sled and still hauls has no issue with the smaller shaft

ok, another question. i was told i dont need a new flywheel. thoughts on that?

I have 1 of Kennys triple disc weighted in my 6 speed. Works flawless went with all SFI certified.

He rebuilt my 3850 DD and I have it with no miles on it sell it for 1400.00 shipped. Don't know if that is of interest if so let me know link is attached with pictures.

not to be negative (because im sure there may be a difference) but what is the difference between the kenny 2 disc and a south bend or a valair? they look like the same damn clutch with a different paint job. do i have a blue kenny-south bend-valair????

on edit, i see that some of them are a diaphram style pressure plate, but some utilize the same as a south bend and valair, while all three us the same style flywheel.

Well it appears our clutch has been wallmarted. I guess it is time to make some major changes.
