any one know where i can find a write up on adding keyless entry to truck with out it and make the interior lights come on with the keyless button

I talked to the local dealer and they told me they can program a remote for you by using your vin number. Another guy told me you could buy one used or otherwise (cheaper) and then take it to the dealer to have it porgrammed. When I priced this last year , it was $80.

i already checked into that and if the truck is not wired with that option on it you cant just get a remote programmed to it because theres a module on the keyless entry. i want to take a universal and put on it but thanks for the input though

Go with a prestige APS787C, has remote start, keyless entry and also a turbo timer built in. It also has the delay before starting for the grid heater. The place I bought the one for my ol lady's rig installed it for the purchase price so it wasn't half bad.
