Knicked Turbo Vanes - What to do?

Changed compressor housings the other day and must have gotten a small piece of metal into the blade of the compressor. Pulled the housing and notice on blade on the tip of the compressor had a slight gouge mark on the leading edge, and another blade had a slightly rolled edge at the base. Should I run this? It makes an extra small noise at 15 - 20 psi that sounds like nothing rubbbing, but extra turbulence. There is no material gone, and I can't get the edge of the wheel close to the housing. I don't want to grenade a turbo, anyone have any recommendations? Run it and forget about the extra whistle?

Just to keep this in mind : any material lost on these wheels will throw the balances off and possible fragmenting will result.......

Something I want controlled when I rely on these wheels to spin at roughly 100K rpms........

If the thing explodes, does the intercooler usually catch all the shrapnel? I've heard of people blowing turbos all the time, but usually not attached to engine damage. Guess I could have it rebuilt for how much just to be on the safe side?

At the very least show us a picture or two.

I question the balancing being perfect since material was moved to a different location -after balancing...... Something I don't want to question when I expect it to live.

Well, that's a problem because I don't have any pics when I had the compressor off :bang. The good news is though, I'm getting a new compressor wheel.:rockwoot: The boost just wasn't up to what it was before and I don't wanna chance it.

I've talked to Danny and should have you all fixed up.

I want to say "THANK YOU" Engineered Diesel for helping me out:thankyou2:! I honestly tried to be as meticulous with the compressor housing as possible when we swapped them out, as I'm always super concious of doing anything out of order any time a bolt is turned on the truck.

You guys have just displayed to me some fabulous customer support and I want to recognize you guys on here so that everyone else knows that E.D. is the real deal:clap: I have a huge investment in this truck and you've eased my mind about this issue. Thanks again!

Chris, I would like to point that I'm very pleased with the charger's performance. I can hit 51 lbs of boost when the truck hits lockup with this 64 without any CP3 mods, practically stock sticks (25hp), and without meth. That's honestly more than I expected, as the numbers I've heard from comparable setups are lower.:rockwoot:
