leaking freeze plug

freeze plug at the back of the head is leaking coolant when warm, took out the plug and put some pipe dope on it, worked good a few days then started to drip again. what kind of dope or thread sealer will work for this? its the threaded plug by the way.

On the rear of the head? One of the threaded plugs on top? I've seen those little tiny soft plugs on the very back of the head corrode/rust and leak.
The threaded ones should be an easy fix. ???

yes its the the threaded one you can put a 1/2 inch drive ratchet in. i took it out when i noticed that it was leaking, put some pipe dope on it like i said, it stopped leaking for a few days now its starting to drip again. not sure if the stuff i used wasnt rated for the heat or something in the anti-freeze it eating it away, i need to go to the auto parts store and get some thread sealer thats rated for the heat/chemicle i guess. :bang its always the simple things
