I got a p-pump 24v, fire ringed and studed... and after a hook it leaks water on the right side of the head but cant get it to leak any other time... last hook i cut the the thermostat and still leaks... any help?

yeah between the head and block...I am assuming the gasket is blown but i should leak all the time

Are you showing more boost on the track than on the street?

That's why its leaking then and not any other time.

Were both the head and block flat before you put the fire-rings in?

My 1996 twin turbo truck would do this after a hard pull (75lbs of boost) even with 14mm studs and rings. But it was also fireringed for roughly 50-60k miles before it started doing this.

My 12v is doing the same thing. After driving on the street for about three weeks it hasn't lost a drop. I going to try another re-torque and a coolant bypass at the rear of the head. I don't think it's the o-rings, they would have burnt and torched the gasket. Head was surfaced and the block was checked.

As in too much? Not allowing enough clamp load for the rest of the gasket?

I have that thought in the back of my mind and have been trying to keep it there.
