Leaky Lines

So... My swap has been finished for a few months... I purchased a set of used lines and couldn't for the life of me to get them to stop leaking. these werent clamped and were stainless. I cleaned them, polised the ends etc.

So I bought a new set from haisley, mild steel .093. took my time, bolted them up... torqued them and same damn thing... is there something Im missing?

Are they leaking in the same spots as the last set of lines? Could be the opposing side of the sealing surface. (Injectors or DV holders)

They are leaking out of the Head side of things... I replaced connector tube orings... with no change

Where are they leaking (ie by the nut on the head or in the middle of a line somewhere)? How many are leaking? Same lines leaking? How tight might you be going?

PPump 24v lines have been known to be extremely sensitive. They should warranty any cracked or defective lines as an FYI.

Edit: Treed. Chit.

Are they all leaking? External or into the oil leak?

Leaking externally. Dont appear to be getting into oil... had It down to 2 leaking with the last lines... these I'm not sure, I gave up when I saw it leaking again

The New set was torqued to 21 ftlbs. I know they are 25, but they should seal at 20-21ish with a crows foot.

Hm. Check for any burrs or imperfections whatsoever on the injection lines where they meet the connector tubes. Check the tubes as well. Many have had to get new tubes or clean up any little imperfections on the lines. I have heard of them using anything from sand paper to lapping compound to do that. How they use lapping compound to do it is beyond me so I couldn't tell ya how LOL

That is something cheap and easy to check but seeing as how it is an external leak it has me wondering if it is leaking where the middle of the nut meets the end. My lines seemed pretty cheap and crappy around that area to be honest and I always cringed taking them off for anything.

I polished and cleaned the ends of the tubes as well. I'm not sure if they are leaking out the threads or between the line and nut. I'll do some checking tomorrow afternoon... I haven't given up obviously as I love how the truck runs now, but I won't let myself go to the dragstrip until I get them to stop leaking...

I had same issue. Mine were leaking on the actual line where the tip and sleeve meet. The way I fixed them is with 45% silver solder aka brazing rod. I've done this to a few dozen lines and they still hold.

I had one line leaking when I put mine on. I didn't have it seated in the crossover tube quite right and I never got it seated right until I took the line loose on the pump and removed the clamps that hold the lines together... I tightened it up first at the injector side, then the pump and put the little clamps back on. Been leak free ever since...
