anyone on here have a few pics or part number of the block in the rear they used to lower the truck? i was thinkin about a shorter block and a good set of traction bars to get rid of this wheel hop
:thankyou2:

Dont have a part # but i used a 2" block in the rear and cut 1/2 a coil in the front. If you dont want to cut the front then id use a 2.5-3" block in the rear to keep it from looking like its sagging.

Has anyone cut the rear blocks down and drilled out the hole for the leaf spring pin?

I'm just curious if it can be down considering it's cast iron.

2" lowering shackle could work for him. Im still in the process of lowering mine. I just cant decide how I want to do it mainly because of my trac bar....

I used a band saw and a drill. Don't have any pics of the blocks before/after.

I did the same thing to a buddy's truck. I think we cut it down to about 2 3/4" on his and it looks good with the stock height front end.

Il try and get some pics of both trucks this weekend

Hacksaw or a sawzall would both work. Then id use a grinder to clean it up. Not the easiest way but itll work if thats all youve got.

It would be nice to see some pics.. ya'll think 305's would still fit upfront with stock height?

I currently run BFG 315/75/16's and I was getting tired of how high my truck was with them and a 2" leveling kit. I got a great deal on a slide in Capri camper that I couldn't use because the truck sat so high in the rear. So I leveled it out by cutting down the rear block like this...

I then drilled a hole so the leaf spring pin would fit into it that keeps the block from sliding out.

I have 305/50/20 that fit good for stock height 2nd Gen 4X4. Anymore in height I can see it rubbing the inside fender without a lift.

I'm considering taking out the 2" lift in the front and lower the rear even lower with the 315's. I'm curious if they will rub the fenders because when I put the 2" lift on it moved the axle backwards a bit.
