I'm wondering if anyone has opinons on this. I already have a 1 inch body lift in my 98 basically to help with clearances with the engine and driveline. Anyways I was thinking of adding like a 1.5 or 2 inch spacer and add a leaf. I would like to run 35's. I see alot of trucks running this type of setup and I also see alot of trucks stock height. So does this help or hurt lifting this little bit????

Increase driveline angles, which could result in weaker ujoints.

It will not help your drive line angles but Im sure there will be others that will be able to tell you more.

Would the body lift hurt the drive line??? I pulled my motor today and it was a PITA!!! I can see that 1" giving me all the room i need!

I run a 6'' lift, yeah thats a little high, but it hasnt hurt me yet, but i am planning on going down 2'' in the front. I have pulled the last 3 years with the setup, but i want more rake this year

Yea I know the bodylift don't hurt it, and it sure helps the clearances on the pulling the engine. What I'm asking is the adding of 1.5-2 inches to the suspension to help with room for the 35's. I know it doesn't help the driveline angles, but does it help or hurt the truck in pulling. Also does anyone have opinions on running 33's-or 35's. I have 5:13 gears.

The only thing I see it doing is raising your center of gravity a bit and this would make it want to transfer a bit more weight going down the track

Run 35's...more tire on the ground! I dont think 1.5-2" of lift would heart, but from what iv seen over the years a lower truck seems to hook better... ???

If you want more room for the 35's, which should be your choice, then put a bigger body lift in. Haven't seen a lot of Dodges with body lifts, so maybe it won't look real good with that, but that would be my choice. Good luck with the truck.

I have 3 inch body lift and original mechanical fan in my '98 12V.

I would agree. I like that look too. I hope the 1 inch body will help clear them. Maybe I can put 3/4 inch longer control arms to help too. I will post pics when the tires are on. Moving the axle forward alittle isn't a problem because I have a custom front bumper(buckstop look alike).
