How many of you guys that have done camshaft swaps out of 24v and have found a lift pump lobe.

Good question! I pulled the cam out of my 99 this evening.. Didn't even think to check for one. I will check tomorrow.

When I swapped mine I found a lobe on the new one so I dumped the crap LP and installed a 12v mech pump.

I've got a buddy who would probably do the same thing on his '01 if it is likely that his cam has a lobe on it to run the mechanical pump.

How hard would it be to tell if the lobe is there with the cam still in the motor?

hey mondtser what year truck do you have? I am trying to avoid a headach buy doing a cam shaft swap.:bang

My buddies truck that I am asking about is an '01. I hope it has a lobe on the cam so I can save myself some headaches and time (since I have my own truck I'd rather work on) and just swap to the good old piston pump.

My 98.5 didn't have one, it does now. Just picked up the 12v lift pump from Mumau Diesel. If the truck has a stock cam it probably doesn't have a fuel pump lobe.

the H2 cam i have for sale has the lift pump lobe on it my stock cr cam does not have the lobe.

I have a helix with a lift pump lobe on it but I guess that I am to lazy to put it in, I want to see if any one had seen them on stock camshafts. I am just dreading bouncing the new lifter in when I put my helix in. :thankyou2:
