alright this one has me stumped. i don't think its the apps. my tranny will not stay in lockup at all will shift in and out or not at all or it will just lose lockup for a few seconds. flip the lockup switch on and it will stay in lockup soon as you turn it off it returns to going in and out what could be messed up in the tranny electronically i have the 618re gov pressure conversion in it but i did not put a new gov sensor and lockup and od solenoids in i got the wrong ones with my vb there for a 00 and up. but they are about two years old. dumb question but can you run the 2000 electronics in a 99? any help would be appreciated

Could be your lock up on a switch. I had a similar problem on an 01 just like mine but 2wd. The switch was part of the problem, the rest was the trans builder.

First check the big wire going to the alternator. make is sure it is properly connected and free of corrision. Then wrap it in some aluminum foil. That should get rid of the electrical interference.

the lockup switch i dont think so i just hooked mine back up yesterday because of this. and i just put a new battery cable on the pass side so those connections are clean

Try wrapping them with some aluminum foil. I pretty sure its the orange cable to the ALT.

Wrap all the cables and wires near the back of the alternator in aluminum foil.

i hooked it up to a scaner today had the two codes for the lockup switch and a alternator output voltage two low. so if the apps aint getting the right voltage it would cause this symptom am i right?

Does the lock up switch make the voltage low? Is this caused by the switch?

I had a problem with grounds. I cut off the connector form my alt to neg terminal and soldered them together. NEver had the problem after that. (the cause was a 3 1/2' wave of salt water.):D

i put foil on the wire from the alternator to the ground black with orange stripe. so far its working
