Looking at an 01

Hi all, im looking at an 01 dodge ext cab lb with around 50k miles. is there anything i should be looking for or looking at on the truck? what are some mods that work well on a truck this year? Thanks guys, this is the first cummins ive looked at ive always been a ford guy. and if there is a thread on this please show me, i might have searched wrong.

click the key on,off,on,off,on and see what codes come up? also i find out about the IP, it;s probably original if it only has 50k! that's really about all that i can think of!

edge boxes work well, as with some injectors, tranny work (especially if an auto) intake, and turbo

thanks, is the IP a weak point? and by checking the codes would a CEL or something like that come up or would i need a code reader for it?

and has the 53 block been known to blow up under stock power or a turner in it?

its a hit and miss with the 53 block

the IP's like their lift pumps, they are kindof like a family, the IP won't work without the LP! If the LP fails the IP will too!
