I know this is in the wrong forum, but Im hoping it will get more attention here. Im looking for an injector to run in my P-pumped 24v. Im currently using an 8@.014 injector and its not running the best. I understand some guys dont like giving out information, but what are some injectors that you guys are running? Im looking for 620-650 rwhp.
Thanks, Will

8 x .014 is alot of injector for 620-650hp. Mach 4's (150hp) will get it to 620 or so with a good pump and twins. 6's(220hp) will take it over 700. Probably around 175hp injector to put you in the area you want to be. Will depend on pump output and turbos.

I was looking into Mach 7's or DDP 250. But didnt know how well they will preform with the P-pump. I hear people talk about a 6 hole injector but dont know who sells them, or if they were even any better?

Pump is a CDS 215 maxed out, Charger is a s465. I would like to get 700 hp but dont see it happening.

Im going to be running a set of Gus's sticks.. Probably 6x.018 I have about the same setup as you do also....

F1 makes a scecific injector tailored to this application. It is not just a standard 24v injector..... From my testing these injectors are superior to any other injector I tried.

I heard Don isnt taking any orders right now because he is swamped with comon rail injectors, but idk?

One person's opinion vs another's, I would use the blind-hole design. It has been noted that @ low needle lift there is visible spray pattern variation with a VCO nozzle, this is not an issue with the sac style nozzle.

The blind hole I think is what i ran last year form mike. the blind hole was the one pictured on the left correct?

Last I spoke with Don he had to stop orders for a bit because he is swamped. But I would talk to one of his dealers and see when a set could be put together.

Mikes injectors are Sac style. So im told.$.02 Ive heard Don makes the best 7 hole injectors, but if your in the market for something else (like 6 hole) maybe call New Era.

What would be the pros and cons of a 7 hole and a 6 hole? I heard that the 6 hole helps keep the spray pattern from being distorted because of the larger volume per hole? But a 7 hole will give you better atomization.

i know with a vp the 7 hole worked very well. i tried quite a few different variations and they did extremely well. however with the differences in the injection event i personally think that the 6 hole will be a better investment. especially down the road if you want to go to a higher rpm, you'll already have a injector better suited for the job. hint, 12v's run best with a 5 hole to keep the fuel in the best pattern, just because your shooting straight at the piston instead of at an angle like in the 12v; the injection pump characteristics dont change those pumps seem to like the less, larger hole injectors. but thats just my opinion, which everyone's is different.

We quit making anything bigger than a 150hp in a 7 hole, because the tips would fail. The 6 hole SAC is far superior in my opinion, to the 7 hole. A 6x0.016 is alot of fuel for a hot P pump.
