looking to buy a 24 valve engine

ok guy im looking at a 24 valve engine and its not a 53 block running w 200k on it what is that motor worth?

what all does it come with? everything needed to make it run?

seems 1500-2000 is fairly common. or find a wrecked truck. my brother bought his for 2300 running. and then sold a few hundred dollars of parts off of it.
