looking to start a daily driven truck that i can pull some with

So i have a 2000 dodge 24v that has a few little things done to it such as 75 hp injectors 150gph air dog lift pump ts performance mvp smarty 4in exhaust and an intake. Im looking to start a pulling truck that i can pull with every now and then just for fun but still daily drive. So what im thinking is possibly upgrade injectors to possibly 150's and then put a high tech h2b2 62/71mm charger and then head studs then the obvious build the tranny stronger. Anybody have and other suggestions to make a truck that is decent at pulling but can still be driven around town without terrible mileage.

I'd say you are heading in the right direction. I pulled last year with a 62/71 and a set of 200's.

I have 150's on mine pretty good powe and I get anywhere from 20 23 mpg

I ran stock headgasket and bolts all last year, i just retorqed them before every pull i ran

I finally blew it this spring after I changed to some bigger injectors and a super phat shaft 66

so you think id be safe whit 150s and a 62 high tech

you should be fine, just retorque your headbolts.
