I have an 06 6.0 with 65000 miles on it, for some reason when i shut it off i open the hood and its blowing preasure out of the resivoir cap and sounds like there are large bubbles moving through the radiator. Do the pressure caps go bad? any ideas would be a big help.

Yes, coolant caps can go bad. I have had two replaced. Ford has a new updated cap as well. I am not saying that it is not HG's, but a $9 cap is a cheap way to start!

You can also take it to the dealer or an idependent shop and have it tested to see if the hg's are leaking or not before you thow parts and money at it.

Yea, the cap is a warranty item too. When the tests come back that there is a pressure leak in the system, they will do the cap first anyway.

as said above, start with the simple cheap parts first, I had a cap go bad.

replace that and go from there, if that doesn't fix it have the dealer run test to see if the EGR and oil cooler are functioning properly and the temperatures between them meet specs.
