I was driving down the road the other day and all of a sudden i lost overdrive. My trans shifts great it just wont go into overdrive. I drained my fluid and it did smell a little burnt and there was no metal at all. Thanks.

Remove the 1/4" plug right above the rear most trans cooler line and put a pressure gauge on it. If you have any pressure there then you lost the OD plates.

Yea i still had reverse. K ill try putting a gauge on the trans cooler line thanks.

^^^^The plug, not the line..

Just want to make sure you get the right one is all.

Right! Thanks for catching that right away. You will need a 7/16 box end wrench to remove the plug and a pressure gauge that reads at least 50.

If it reads 0psi you can have.. #1 Trash is the VB.. 2# PCM not grounding.. #3 OD piston seal gone/ OD clutches fried..

Hope that helps..

I thought goose was going to check the line and not the plug, from his posting.
