Loud Popping out of intake

I just finished my engine rebuild with rods,pistons and head studs. It cranked soon after I hooked up the cam shaft postion sensor and ran fine for about 25 min. at idle. So I took it up the road just easing on the gas. Then stopped and went up the road again, then I slowly rolled into it and heard the turbo whistle or let out air a little and then I had my popping coming from the intake and it's pretty loud. I pulled it home not knowing what to do. Thanks for any help. Cranks fine just has loud popping sound out of intake.

i would hope not, but sounds like a sticking valve.

I would check your overhead, possible bent exhaust pushrod or popped off. Could be a stuck valve too.

yep

broke exhaust push rod and bent intake. Replaced them and she runs good now. I must have installed them wrong. It cost me $15. Not to bad.
