I put a phat shaft 66/71/18? i dont know the size of the exhaust housing the number on the tag on the center section says model# 66180. I can only get about 35 pounds out of it with the edge comp at 5X5 and the smarty on level 8 and im running super dragon flows

any suggestions

Take a zip tie and kink off the wastegate hose on the front and take it for a drive and do some roll on accelerations and see if it comes up any. Then you just might need to adjust the w/g rod or put a boost regulator inline with that.

i have the boost screw all the way in and ill try pinching off the waste gate line to see if it comes up any

the smoke level is very heavy even when doing a 1/4 throttle pull from 45 to 60 mph it really doesnt clear up until it lites around 60

it's heavy enough smoke to loose a school bus, i think i know whats next for your truck. :nos:

or the fins could be burnt off the exhaust wheel, i did that to an II super phat 66...

wow, how did you do that?

i have the same turbo, stock sticks waiting for mine to come back, edge on 5x5 or 6x5 makes 30psi. no smoke at all.

i agree with the boost leak

:hehe::hehe: well thats your issue, i have BIG sticks!!!:hehe::hehe:

If the screw in the boost elbow is screwed all the way in you need to check for boost leaks. Check your outlet elbow that connects to your intercooler pipe. It may not be snapped into your housing or the O-ring is missing. This can be a big leak. Next thghten up the waste gate accuator. One thing I like to do with new turbos it make sure both waste gates are closed tight. If one is a little loose you'll have trouble making boost.

oh yeah, make sure that your discharge actually FITS the compressor housing. sometimes you have to turn down the OD of the small diameter portion that seats down in the compressor housing.

S300's never came from the factory w/ that v-band outlet on them, so they are all machined aftermarket. sometimes if you have an elbow that's on the large side of spec and a compressor housing on the tight side of spec, it won't seat properly

well i do have big sticks i have super dragon flows so there is plenty of fuel bec it never clears up even under full boost

does any one kno where to get a 4" piece of rubber tube to make a leak detector im having a hard time finding one

go to home depot, get a 4" PVC end cap, get a screw together style schrader valve and install it in the end. duct tape the cap to the inlet of the turbo, apply pressure

little more help needed i fixed the leaks had a cracked intake horn now i take it out on the highway and do a hard pull and see high 40 to low 50 range i pulls good but not as hard as i think it sould any help would be useful
