Hi guys,
I have a cracked timing gear case and was waiting to fix it until my injectors came in (1 to 2 weeks out).
I was going down the road and heard a knock develop and I looked at my oil psi it was over 40 so I checked it and it was about 6 quarts low.
Got it back to the shop and prepared for the worst.......overhaul.
Removed the front end and just got the timing cover off and found 2 teeth broken off the vac pump gear.
I'm assuming that's the knock I'm hearing, but because i went low on oil should i pull the pan and check the mains and rod bearings ?
Also is that vac pump gear serviceable or do i need to buy the whole thing ?
Thanks guys
