Low Pwr Until About 1800rpm

Guys I need some help. My truck is running low on pwr when taking off. No smoke at all no matter what we throw at it, when it gets to abount 1800 rpm runs good.
New vp pump,new fass pump new r.v. injectors, if I use the hypertech box and flash the ecm trucks runs good, but with out the hypertech, no pwr. With that said my tst box does not send any fuel either talked to mark at tst he is clueless, the tst box leds are working correctly. Had put on scanner with no codes,used snap on scanner so we could watch trucks vitals at work, every sensor works correctly and voltages are good. We are down to thinking its is the ecm on the truck. Any suggestions???? tHIS IS A REAL PAIN IN THE #@!*&%#

I forgot to tell you all this is a 5 speed truck, and it starts to build pwr right at 1400 rpm consistantly not 1800.
 
sounds like the hypertech is the issue to me---can you remove the flash and set it back to stock and then see what happens with the TST box---that's what I would do---and then I'd throw the hypertech in the trash if it indeed did cause the problem---were you trying to stack these two to see what happened??? why not just use the TST box??? enlighten us with more info on what you're up to.....chris
 
Hypertechs aren't very good at replacing the original software into the stock form, at least that is what Marco told me. Best bet is to pay the $75 to have your ECM reflashed from a dealership. If you can, get ahold of Bob Wagner and have a friend with a VP smarty, he can send you a recovery file.
I can't say my truck did what yours is doing, but the Hypertech did NOT put my truck back to stock. Rough idle and such in my case. Bob's recovery file straightened out everything and now I have a Smarty. Hypertech went into the trash. Didn't feel right pushing it off on someone else.
 
Hey guys, no I wasnt trying to stack the hyper junk with the tst box. When I put my new tst box on the truck all the lights worked correctly but the truck would not gain any pwr. Thats when I put the hyper junk back on to see if the truck was running any better, because I just put on a new vp pump. It ran better and I called mark at tst and he said if the lights are working then the box is working, but the truck still did nothing. So today I sent the tst box to him so they can check it for any problems, we are both hoping it is just something in the tst box. He doesnt think it is the ecm because the truck is running good just a little slugish on the bottom end when it is back to stock. Any way I should get my box back on sat. so I will keep you guys posted.
 
I didnt know a dealership could do that, I will call them and get that done any way, and yes in deed the hypertch was ran over by my dually wheels. thanks
 
well guys I had the ecm reflashed at the dealership today for $80.00 and the truck still runs like ass on the bottom end, still waiting on my tst box .
 
well the latest update, still waiting on tst box to return,truck still wont blow any smoke at stock,even swapped out a ecm with my truck with no change at all. maybe the "rebuilt" vp pump I just put on. any suggestions???
 
my truck is finally fixed thanks to jim justice at diesel tune up, jim reflashed the ecm with a cummins program not available from dodge, it took 30 min. for $300 and the truck runs great, jim is a great guy, to deal with, he is a retired cummins engineer and knows his stuff, he is located in north vernon indiana. if have been trying to figure this truck out for 3 months and have talked to tons of people and this guy knew what the problem was in about 30 seconds.
