I've had to tap the throttle to start since I put this thing together. The low speed bucking is something that has progressively gotten worse. Should I try backing the the governor springs off one click or go two? It has a 5k gsk installed.

I was just about to make the same post.. I have a customers truck that is now running my old pump and the throttle is SUPER touchy. I was used to having to give it a little fuel, but never had the throttle problem since it was drag only and not a daily driver. I havent played with the 4k settings yet, but im up for any suggestions to make the tuning easier..

I went two clicks and it seemed to help quite a bit. The odd thing is the sound of the engine seems quieter. I didn't get to drive it a lot so I'll know more tomorrow.

Sounds like you got it figured out. Taking clicks out will make it less touchy/finicky at idle and it will start better.

I was pretty sure what I needed to do. I just needed someone to give me a shove. :kick: I'll find out the 16th if it cost me any rpm's.

Starts easier and the bucking is pretty much gone. The problem now is I can only get it to idle at 680. At 700 it starts to run itself up to 1200. Any ideas?

 I was about to go puke.

After driving it more it is definitely quieter. What would loosening the springs have to do with that?
