I have a buddy with a 95 auto that he has replaced the batteries and alternator and is still running 9-10 volts and if you start an stop the truck very many times in one day the batteries will go dead.. I was thinking the voltage regulator has gone bad. An I think it's in the PCM on the firewall, if it is can I bypass it and if so how an what kids of regulator do I need to bypass it with

Make it a "one wire" and forget it, I did years ago and never looked back.

one wire regulators are like $30

One wire is an internal regulator that you put in the back of your alternator, it takes
a 12v switched wire to control the alternator instead of going thru the PCM. I will
post a pic and part number later on tonight...

AND it comes with instructions....if anyone reads such things:hehe:

Haha true awesome man I appreciate it alot!! Where did you get yours just an oriely's or autozone or did u have to order it

check your your ground on the batteries. also make sure you have GOOD connections. i fought an issue like this and ended up replacing all the ends of the batt cables. measure the voltage output on the alternator and then at the batteries and see what kind of drop you see.

Thanks drasko.. I put my PCM on it an the voltage held fine so I'm pretty sure it turned out to be the voltage regulator

I talked to my rebuilder and he can get these regulators to me at $40.00 each.
It takes a couple days to get them, I can send them out for $45.00 total.

IF anyone wants one just drop me a PM

Ron
