I'm in the middle of swapping my upper and lower control arms and everything has had to be cut out thanks to bolts seasing up in bushing sleeves and or bolts breaking like in the case of the eccentric.

I need to replace the driver side lower eccentric and need to know part number and napa type options anyone may have. Much appreciated!

My truck is a 97 ram 4x4 std cab

When I installed my Fabtech lift last year, I had to cut out one of the eccentric cam bolts, for the passenger side, lower control arm, on the axle end

These are dealer ONLY bolts, and take 1-2 days to get in.....they are about $25 each!

That's what I was afraid of:(. Any other ideas are welcomd. I have a guy coming over for the fight to night good buddy of mine who is a top mechanic at a large chevy dealer. I'm going to go out on a limbe and guess no chevrolet or gm vehicles would have the same eccentric?

Sounds like the same boat I was in... but mine didn't break. I wish I wasn't right when I told you they were going to be tough to remove :(

I have seen them for sale also on Ebay.....but they are used

My rational was to just buy them new, since it only took a day or two to get the parts in stock

If you gotta get it moving you can just put regular bolts in there for now until you get them from the dealer. The alignment will just be off until you get it figured out.

Since i'm going from 2" lower than stock to 2" higher than stock I'm just worried about too little caster and super death wobble. Work has me needing to drive pretty far the next day or so 2. Oh well, I see what I can figure out even if it means getting the welder out and making one lol. Truck was set up to go to alignment shop monday.

Nick...
I have the old eccentric bolts which came out of mine when we changed the arms out.the only reason I swapped them was I felt we were going to have to cut them out and we didn't.Since we had them I just changed them over. The factory uppers had to be cut out so i do not have them but the lowers are here.If you want them drop me a PM and you may have them.....Andy

P.S.-Eccentric bolts and nuts are a dealer only deal.

i gotta change mine this week im hopin they wont be that bad but most likely they will be...any suggestions to make it easier?

Start soaking them with PB Blaster everyday for a week prior to taking them out, lol.

Nick, pm me your number and I can get the part number I used from a vendor at work when I get there in the morning. NAPA should be able to go through them I just forgot the company of the name.

Thanks a ton for the offers guys. My buddy that came over for the fight ended up coming up with an idea and we made one. Justed used the old halves and put a 9/16" grade 8 bolt through with the end ground flat for the "loose" side and the "tight" side tack welded to the head of the bolt. He's got the truck right now for alignment. It worked out well when re-assembling and adjusting back to the position it was in.

Wow, what a fricken nightmare is all I have to say about removing stock POS control arms. Good luck with PB Blaster. Problem is you can't get it in between the metal sleeve of the bushing and the bolt which is where all my problems were. If and when you go to cut them out do your best to avoid cutting the sleeve bushing and bolt, just try to cut the bolt only or you'll be there for hours and hours ruining sawzall blade after sawzall blade.
