Lower coolant inlet leak

97 12V has a lower radiator inlet leak. Its got a new gasket and the inlet housing has been cleaned of all build up and rust...its been taken off and installed twice today with no help to the leak. I don't think its likely that the housing leaked from what I can see its a fast drip coming from right where the gasket is.

gasket part #3906697 was used.

Anyone had this issue before? both surfaces are clean and level.

I thought they had an o ring to seal it to the block?
Try some black RTV?

Yes that part # is the rubber square seal that goes into the groove in the block. I will try some RTV...im just worried that the RTV is a temporary fix for a permanent problem.

Try some Right stuff. That will seal it up!
