anyone know what a mach 8 is rated at horsepower wise. Also what electronics do yall think are required to hit 600 horse on the dyno with these injectors and a silver 66? oh its a vp truck. Thanks

From the Mid-Atlantic Diesel website.

Mach 7 240 HP $1300.00
Broken Arrow!
The last word. Nothng comes close to the performance and the driveability of the Mach 7. This injector rings out the last drop of HP from the ETC injection pump yet still remains very driveable.

Only 3, 24 Valve trucks are running the 1/4 mile in under 12 seconds in the entire country on Diesel Fuel Only. Chris Hoofnagle ( 11.76) Meacham Evins ( 11.78 ) and Rip Rook ( 11.89 ) All these trucks run the Mach 7 injector.

Mach 8 230 HP Diesel Only / 271 HP using Nitrous

The Mach 8 is still under preparation and last minute testing. This injector was developed for Nitrous assisted use. The Mach 7 makes 10 more Diesel Only HP than the Mach 8, but the Mach 8 has shown a 31 HP increase with similar amounts of Nitrous. The Mach 8 is driveable, but will smoke slightly more than a Mach 7. These dyno runs were done with a 2002 truck using a single B-1 turbocharger, Redline and Edge Comp fueling boxes, the Helix 3 camshaft and a 4" exhaust system through the muffler. The injection pump was not advancing timing properly and the truck was throwing codes. In the days following with a new pump the truck made 832 with the same parts combination.

I think you could get 600 with a much cheaper stick than M8's.

Did you get them cheap???

Electronics...I have an Edge Juice I can sell you!!!

mach 8's are rated at 230hp on #2 but like 270hp with nos. they are designed for nos. the mach 7's are rated at 240hp on #2. i would run a redline stacked with a drag comp with mach 6 or 7 sticks. that should get you there.

I already have the injectors and the turbo i just wanted to know what electronics. would like to hear from people that have personally used a setup similar to this and what horsepower they were at.

you will have a hard time making 600 with your setup. needs lots of nitrous with those injectors. you will make more hp on fuel only with mach 6s or 7s like stated. 8 is really a nitrous only injector.

Redliine Diesel Power has a VP truck in the 10's on #2 only!!!!

i call bs on the 10s till i see proof. i know karl was very very close but i didnt know he made the dip down that low. gotta slip for that?

no run in the 10's but pretty sure its capable, making more power now, and last run was at 11.02 and let off!

600 with those injectors and a SB66 shouldn't be a problem..... The truck that F1 uses as an example is actually my old truck. I was able to make over 600 RWHP with these injectors, SB66, and several different electronics, (Edge Drag Comp, Redline +Edge Comp Combo, TST Comp + Edge Comp Combo).

As mentioned these injectors are actaully made to work best on nitrous. The Mach 6++ makes the most HP with the SB66 and the 7's usually perform the best with twins.

How is this relevant to the conversation???

Oh I see now....:spam2:

I didn't realize this...thanks Doug.

Maybe a better wording would have been......

The mach 6++ works best with a large single, M7's on a twin turboed truck, and the M8's when using nitrous!:)

I see, well I guess im gonna look at trading these 8s for 7s cause 600 is my goal. I appreciate the info jet pilot if you remember what was the highest horse outa those three electronic combinations?

You can do 600+ with tose injectors on #2. It's just that the M6++ and M7 will produce more HP on #2.

The Edge drag Comp was the most streetable and the HP was around 605.

The Redline and TST stack wear pretty much identical in HP around 630. The Redline combo drove much nicer than the TST combo but wasn't reliable (redilen box spent more time at BC than on my truck). The TST combo was reliable but I hate that fueling shutter......

Doug: Was this years back before monster pumps, adrenalines, cams, custom turbos, fully ported heads, custom headers, ect, ect. ?? Would 650+ be capable with some better mods???

yea. i was wanting to hear if anybody is using an Adrenaline with those sticks and a big single or twins.

its hard to get a VP truck over 600 on fuel with a single, not saying impossible just tough.
