I've been offered a Mail Jeep. Free. Not running obviously. Assuming the body is decent I'm gonna take it and swap the motor(yeah, I said "motor":D:poke:)

I'm thinking a 4bt, if it will fit. With some sort of auto tranny (turbo 400 most likely)

It will be a DD for the wife, and somewhat of a race truck (not much of one:hehe:) I'd be wanting low 14's, high 13's, not really fast by any standards, but surprisingly fast for a stock appearing, right hand drive, rattling mail jeep.

I'd possibly convert it to a 2wd too...

And thoughts? Surely someone has shoved a 4bt into an early Jeep before?

mail jeeps are 4wd?

NO way would I want to hit 100 mph in one of those squirrelly bastards! :hehe:

Man up Jory!

And I figure I'll run it down once to see what it does.

Can be any scarier than a 1 wheel launch. Aaron says those are fun!
