main studs girdle question

I was wondering if the arp 12mm main studs will let the stock girdle clear on my 05 5.9 cr?

I got mine from xdp they list which ones are for the common rail. Make sure you have the mains line honed

ive heard both arguments from all types of people, mine is fine without it. i would recommend it though on the older blocks

I'll tell you from personal experience since you want to throw out some bad suggestions. When I had my machinist line hone the mains they were distorted. Not sure how much but when you only have a couple thousandths to play with on the mains it's not worth the risk.

its not bad suggestions, its a fact. to each his own. everyone can use their own judgement.

I installed the same ARP studs and my machine shop said the same thing about needing to have it lined bored, same with my rods.
