Manual Swap

I've got a 99 2wd auto, and I want to put a NV5600 in it that I have laying around. My question is what ECM does it need in it for everything to work like it should? I have a 2001 Manual ECM but I don't know if it will work.

ECM doesnt care what trans is behind it (unless its 01 or 02 auto with tq management), the computer you need to be concerned with is the PCM by the turbo on the firewall. I'm pretty sure the truck will run just fine with the auto PCM on a manual truck, but you can't go the other way and expect it to shift the auto. The only thing that may be a problem is cruise control and the neutral safety switch. Now that I think more the 99's were vaccum cruise still, so all you have to worry about is the neutal safety switch.
