Map Sensor?

My truck has been acting kinda weird right now. I will take off from a stop sign or stop light and it sounds like the motor gets muffled out. When the motor sounds like this, it will fuel really hard and smoke like a freight train. I have and edge comp and 120 hp injectors. Is this map sensor or the APPS going out or what?

Check the MAP plugs and see if any of the pins are corroded and not making contact. My truck has a problem similar to this and every 6 months or so I have to clean my MAP plugs and then it runs fine.

take the comp out and see if it still does it

I took the comp off twice, I even left it off over night and nothing happened. I broke down and bought a new one from a cummins dealership. I am hope that this fixes the issue.

does it seem like it surges? my is doing this also, either gonna replace the MAP or the TPS...

It seems to surge occasionaly, I will find out Friday if this fixes my issues.

Check the lower intercooler boot on the passenger side. It likes to rub a hole in it.

I didn't have any lights on, I never ran it for codes. I just put on a new map sensor and it seems to quit the sound changes.
