Just curious if our trucks need the mass air flow sensor if running a non-vgt turbo. I've seen a few trucks running twins that don't appear to be using it.
My truck is stock (VGT turbo) and does not have a MAF sensor. A few of the 2005 builds don't have one. I don't know what we are sacrificing, but my trucks runs like a dream.
My guess is it is a software mod, custom tuning/strategy, that computes the MAF from the intake air temp (IAT) and pressure (MAP), instead of using a MAF sensor input.
