Yes it is... I'm very happy with this setup... Drew at d&j is building an engine right now for me... Aiming for 1300+rwhp fuel only and still be daily driven capable.

Mines around 950 and has done 1088 when fogged lol. Stock cam, IC, etc, just has valve springs, push rods and stardard arps for supporting mods, daily driven. Has a single 75 now next is going to be throwing a 67/84 twin setup on it.

that's from a small compound set up with a 366/480 something. Not mine but have seen the catastrophic results of rod failure. If you wanna roll the dice go ahead but rods are cheaper than a new crank and block. Some may fail, others may not but I'm not risking it in mine. Currently at high 600's but much into the 7's I'm going rods

700's and worried about rods? LOL
At most I'd do 12V rods at about 1000 and call it a day.
That split block likely had much more to do with cylinder pressure than a bad rod anyway.

That's impressive.

Well, cylinder pressure is what bends and breaks rods.

That block got skullfukked from parts coming out the side, it's not lifted.

My point was that thing was likely on the ragged edge of what any part could hold.

With my luck yes I'm worried, have seen guys run stock flex plates with twins and no cracks whatsoever, mine ripped the center out of it at 525 lol so ya I may be more cautious than others

And if it's already down to put 12v rods in why not go billet? Cuz honestly we all get comfortable with the level we're at and want more. So for ease of only doing it once, spending the extra $ may be worth it

Cracked a piston at ~860-900whp just a few months ago with the setup in my sig. Too much boost, drive and EGT. I backed it down to low 800's and its doing just fine daily driven. My recommendation is keep it at high RPM, with boost under 90 and drive in check and you'd be good for 900's. I built my setup to be friendly for the manual so the small secondary turbine is a double edge sword.

Cummins610 on here has done numerous 13xxhp pulls with a 100% stock 400,000K engine, with just some ARP625's to hold it together.

Single S400 and some juice.

Well done Jim.
