so i rebuilt my tranny and i cannot figure out where i messed up and need some opnions on ideas i have. first off let me explain what it does. it will hold the shift to second out forever and 3rd sometimes. nothing seems firm really it seems like its slipping all the time. i have not drove it mabey 10 miles or so. here are my ideas
1alright alot of trash went through it i found penny size pices of what was left of the converter in the pan i did not touch my valve body i am scared to take that thing apart could trash be plunging up things in there
2 the pump could have low pressure or are there valves in that or check balls
3 okay dont laugh at this one this is just me being my dumba$$ self i threw the valve body on in a hurry i dont think i would do this but i do not remember putting the accumulator spring in it may of been stuck to the accumulator and also i dont remember plugging the governor harness in. im sure i did but there is a possibility i forgot and i have not checked the codes to see
tomorrow will bethe first day i can mess with it i have a spare vb i am going to throw on and see if anything changes

after a converter failure you have to clean the valve body out, theres a filter in there thats shot by now, and the crap is probably in the passage ways. is the vb stock or aftermarket?

its a suncoast proloc there is a internal filter i did not know that it makes sense to me that its full of crap i did not think of it at the time i had the tranny apart

Your rear out put shaft speed sonsor pluged in and good? also any codes?

output sensor would cause it to stay in first i belive and i have not checked the codes

If you found pieces in your pan then those pieces are in your VB as well.

You can disconect the wirring and see if it will shift fine when you shift it manualy into 2 and 3, if it does its electronic problem

If you trashed a tranny then rebuilt it WITHOUT cleaning or replacing the VB, then thats NOT GOOD...

i cut a seal on the input shaft so had low line pressure opps :bang o well got to learn somehow
