Mexican Hat or flat bowl piston ??

Hello , I have been tossing around which pistons to use in my engine. Its a 401 ford truck engine and it has the mexican hat design bowl in the piston and I also have a set of pistons for it that have a smooth ( flat ) bottom bowl. I really want to use the smooth bottom bowl ones due to lighter pin and lower top ring location ( I can remove more for valve reliefs ) and the block is already bored for these. I just dont have enough experience to know how much difference it really makes , I will be running 3500 rpm max , around 50 psi boost , p -pump 13mm . I know the mexican hat design is better from what Ive read , but like I said I really want to use the smooth bowl ones I have if its only like a 10 hp difference on dyno or something because I have everything for it already. My target comp ratio is 14.5 - 1 so I will have to open bowl up some anyhow to take away some compression. Thank You
