i used to get around 18 mpg then i put an afe intake with tourque tube and 285 nittos and now i get about 15.6 do the tires make that much of a difference in my milage? i run 50 psi in the front and 45 in the back..i rarely get on it to much anymore just normal driving

if you put larger tires on did you correct for tire size? If your speedo is off then your odometer is off , that could be part of the problem and then yes bigger tires or tires with aggresive tread can affect mileage.

IKE

i would up the air psi to the max or 5psi under. that will help a lil.

yea the tires are a bit larger i guess i one mile on my odometer is farther than an actual mile im going to clock it beside my dads truck and see what the difference is

if your stock tire size is 245/75/R16 and you put on 285/75/R16's then your speedo is off by 7.8%. So if you have 400 miles on your trip meter you times it by 7.8% and that is that actual mileage driven. Then just do you gallons/mileage equation to get your mpg.
