more boost out of an hx35 with auto trans?

how can i get more boost out of my hx 35 on my 02 auto? i seen they make some kind of j-hook that you can put on. anyone have their own idea they came up with? them hooks are kind of $$.

Weld the arm in place. Or if you have money to burn, 2 loops of baling wire and a turnbuckle.

If its an auto it is an HY-35 unless you changed it. I bought a turnbuckle from Lowe's for mine for about $2.00. The problem is with a lot of fuel you will way overspeed the turbo since the wastegate is clamped shut that way. A j-hook is a better idea.

you could just disconnect the wastegate line for free, but thats not too safe you really don't want more then 40-45psi out of an hx or hy35. I ran mine at 55psi for while and when it destroyed itself it wasn't pretty so thats just my advice.

Anything over 35psi is just pushing hot air. Its out of its efficiency range.

if you dont run to much fuel you can use a turnbuckle. What other mods does it have? Something like a Edge J/A and some 75hp shouldnt put you much over 32-35 psi.

its got 40hp injectors and an edge comp. might put my smarty with it every now and then.

Try a turnbuckle before you spend more money on a j-hook then.
