Most Power outa setup

Going to throw my truck on the dyno next weekend and I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion on what tuning to run..

Smarty and TST Comp box.

I don't think set to kill will get the best power??
 
Ditto. I made my best of 496hp with those settings. Anything above level 7 on the TST didn't gain me anything but more pump shudder.
 
On the Smarty, what should I set the timing, injector duration, etc to?
 
Well the reason for running number three is so there isnt so much fuel on the bottom end to snuff out the charger to help it get lit faster. Personally I would try a little more timing less duration and TQ management
 
Yeah I will for sure. I have suspicions that my VP44 is weak and I'll know once I hit the rollers. 183k on the stock lift pump and VP44... :rockwoot:
 
Well my pump is just fine... WOO HOO! :rockwoot:

BUT I'm not sure what to think of the Smarty now...

Injectors only - 420hp, 909ft/lbs

TST on 7 - 522hp, 1120ft/lbs

TST on 7, Smarty on 5 468hp, 1074ft/lbs


So adding the Smarty, I LOST 54hp and 46 ft/lbs. I don't get it? Is it because I ran #5 instead of #3? I couldn't remember for sure what you all said and I thought it was #5.

What charger you runnin? Looks real good to me. Not real sure about the power loss. I have only been runnin the tst for a few days with the smarty. But like was said earlier you might have been runnin the smarty on to high of a settin and it dumped in to much fuel early. What settings were you runnin on timing duration and tq management. Stick or auto. I am guessing the number at the bottom is rpm's and not time of run.
 
HTT 62/12, 40psi boost.

I have no idea on the settings, I didn't mess with that, just the Catcher #.

Yeah the bottom #s are RPMs in 1000s... so 1.2 is 1200 and so on.

It's an auto. Runs were done in overdrive with the convertor locked.
 
I dont think smarty 5 should have been that big of a drop if any , Maybe the timing advance in the pump is going out. That could explain the high egts you were having.
 
I didn't mess with all the Revo stuff either, does it default to something? The last time I had the Smarty on the truck I set all the Revo stuff to the highest #s.

I was told later on that torque management is "backwards" and 1 is the "balls out" and 4 or whatever is full on management.

Dunno... would be nice to have some info on the #s.

Like TST puts out HP #s for each program #. Yeah it's not the same on all trucks, but at least it's something to go by.

that TM comment is wrong. i put my tm on #1 or #2 and my truck wouldnt shift to the next gear till like 2300-2500rpm.

was kinda fun at first but got old quick.
