Motor Oil

I am building a 2.6 truck. Someone told me i need to run 20W50 racing oil. I was just wondering what all you guys are running.

There is a thread already on this. Try searching but you run what ever weight oil your engine is toleranced for.

Know your bearing clearances before you choose your oil like Jeremy mentioned. I would experiment with viscosities, if your engine becomes hot enough to use 20w50 I would suggest a oil cooler if you are allowed. I would try to go lower simply because you will notice a difference in engine acceleration especially with 100% synthetics to synthetic blends. Its just a matter of what viscosity is going to meet your engine loads.
