To save time and reading, here is my problem......... http://www.competitiondiesel.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52749

Got a chance to get out to the truck yesterday. Didnt get a whole lot done due to time. But I did get a little done that might help some people help me determine what exactly is going on with the pump.

First I took off the #1 DV holder.....Everything looked clean and no gunk. Went ahead and cleaned it anyway, since it was out.

Just for the heck of it, I turned the pump on with out the DV holder in (any thing is worth a shot at this time!) Had Fuel shoot farther than it ever has! Auctualy made it over the fender. So I guess Im getting fuel to the barrels at least (unless this is not supposed to happen!!!!)

Im thinking my next sted is going to be taking all the DV holders out and turning the motor over by hand to check if the barrels are moving up and down (maybe gumed up). But It looks like to me that the barrels arent gumed up....take a look....

but atleast the motor kinda looks good......a bit of dirt on it, but other than that, it looks fine.

I did get in it yesterday and push the plunger all the way foreward and try to start the truck (to see if it was a plunger problem) still no dice. My only next step is to check the timing......worth a shot. If that doesnt work, looks like Ill have to dish out a good amount of cash to get the pump sent off to get tested! might end up cheaper to just buy a new Pump, but I realy dont want to at this point!

we set the timing at 24, started off at 50-60* it fires and runs just fine on its own, we have to get the front end put back on the truck and see how it runs.

I dont know why it started running. But when we took the DV out to do the timing, the Plunger was full of fuel. So im guessing the pump still didnt prime.....somehow.

But took about an hour and a bit of ether and it fired right up!!!!!!
