Mystery lope ??????????

For some reason last fall, my truck developed a lope at idle. Later on, it started idleing a little rough and in the last month or so it started to miss a little at idle, just thought it was a bad injector.
Yesterday I finally got around to puttin in my new injectors (100hp) and now the lope is even worse. The injectors did fix the rough idle and the miss. It sounds like I've got a Hot Rod pump and big lines and tubes on it.
I've got a VA 65hp timing box and a Quad Xzillaraider 120hp box. I just put the Quad box on a couple of weeks ago.
When I was just running the VA box, it had the lope then too. My VA box has the toggle switch to turn it off, I thought maybe it was the VA but the truck still lopes even with it turned off.

Anyway, I thought the new injectors would fix it but they just seemed to intensify the problem. It lopes quite a bit at idle but lopes really hard when I let off the pedal and coast to a stop.
It lopes so bad that people are always askin me if I have a cam in it. :bang

Just thought I'd see if any of ya had some insight on what could be the problem. I'm thinkin that it's sumthin with the VP, but not sure if that would/could cause it.

Any thought/ideas would be appreciated.

Not sure what is going on Dave. My truck does that but its because of the pump and the lines and tubes.

HAHA When i opened this thred i thought you were another guy asking how to get their truck to lope. Mine has the normal lope that 24v's have when they have lines and tubes but since i put the dragon flow on whenever i let the truck role to a stop or put the truck in netrul when cruising it has a monster lope to it, jumps from around 600-900 rpms sounds sick!

Yeah, problem is.....I'm tryin to get rid of the lope.

I remember how the last "lope" thread turned out. :bang :hehe:

My scheid pump does what kman said about rollin to a stop and always has! but in a SO pump I would say it could have something to do with the fuel temp sensor! there was a guy a while back that had a truck that had a lope kindof like a HRVP and the truck ran great. The only thing he could find wrong was the fuel temp sensor was bad and reading extremely high temps, thats what he said anyways, who knows! Do you have any air leaks?

my soVP like to lope a LITTLE but it may be the .093 tubes...its nothing like the lope i had from a bad set of injectors where it would shake me to death accelerating 0-10 mph

No evident air leaks.....was thinkin about doing a leak test on it just for sh!ts and giggles though.
Hmmm, fuel temp sensor.......I wonder if there's a way to test one.

One thing I did notice yesterday. I've got AN fittings with 3/8 line on everything from the tank to the VP......In-tank pump to frame mounted Hollyey Red. Found one very minute leak on the inlet to the FF and a small leak at the inlet fitting to my Holley pump.
Idle FP is rock solid at 15psi. I'm gonna try to get those leaks dried up and see if that helps. Even though it's a steady 15psi, I'm wonderin if it isn't suckin a little air at those 2 places.
