I have two of these batteries in my truck. Well the other day I went to go start my truck for the first time in about 8 months and they were dead. I put one on the charger (12v 40amp) and remebered a few hours later that it was still charging. I ran out to the garage and I could smell acid bad as soon as I walked in the door. The battery was super hot and steam was coming from the vent. I shut it down and open the door and let everything cool down. Im sure i just ruined a brand new sealed battery. I tried charging it again a few days later with a slow charge (12v 2amp) but after a little while the battery starts to get warm. Wouldnt you say its bad? This is probably a dumb question.

Probably bad, but take it in to them and have it checked, they may still pro-rate it for you...

I will take it up there in the morning and see what they say. I sure dont want to pay for another one. I was happy when I bought them. I was having battery issues at the time and thought with a sealed battery I would be problem free for a long time.
