Nasty Egr

Well I did me some reading and while I was installing the Van Aaken box in the jetta I decided to take a looksee in the intake and YUCK!!

Removed that thing and proceded to clean the crap out of it and the intake then reinstalled.

Now I cant decide if all the extra power is from the box of just the fact it can breath now...

Pulling the injectors this weekend and installing some nozzles and the AFE intake should be here tomorrow.

This Jetta is getting funner.

Here's mine and I now clean it every 3-5K. These get nasty even on stock TDI's.

Just nasty, The 05 EGR looks allot differant than the 02.

Clean the intake/cylinder head, re-route the CCV hose and then have someone turn down the EGR adaptation with VAG-COM. Works like a champ. No more clogging.
