Blew the fire rings out of my p-pumped 24V and want to go to o-rings so I'm looking at buying a new head. I've been looking at stock replacements but finding them in the $1500 range, then found this on racingjunk.com

CNC PORTED 24 VALVE CUMMINS HEAD For Sale

For $3K it'll be at my door-$2000 for machine work, $500 core, $250 to have the intake milled, drilled, and tapped, $150 for cutting it for o-rings, and $100 shipping.

Worth it?

I don't think $3k is terrible. But who did the work?? My head build will be about $2500 with firerings, porting, valve job, new seats, and a side draft.intake

just giving you a hard time! :p (RE: the thread on PSA)

when you get the 6.4 out, I'm a buyer on everything

The reason I asked was it said stage 1. Is that even worth buying? I don't see it worth 2k for I minimal ported head. Anyone on here running one of these head with results?

Id be careful about who does the porting. Its real easy to screw it up, and takes a lot of know-how to get good flow and swirl.
I decided to go with the OE cummins head. No worries about what the metallurgy might be, seeing as how theyre all made in china but cummins does the QC on these.
also, are you porting the intake? what runner are you using?
