Zach,

Im doing a full rebuild on the engine that is in my sig. Im shooting for a reliable 500-550hp. Wont tow much, wont haul much, wont rev over 3500 very often if ever but it will be a daily driver. I am ready purchase now as im gathering parts for reassembly.

Also, i read that 24v tappets are "better" and they happen to be cheaper, are they a direct replacement for the 12v tappet? Sorry if this is dumb and/or repititious questions

Thanks in advance,

Jared

Cams go from $599 -699 depending on the grind and yes 24v tappets are better than 12v tappets because they allow more surface area for oil film between the tappet and the cam. They are 1.3" as opposed to 1.1" for the 12v. The are a direct replacement

If you call the office we can get you squared away. We will need to know how much, if any, your block or head has been decked. Also, valve face depth and piston protrusion would help us be more exact if you know that information.

Thank you for considering our cams.

Zach
