Engineered Diesel 62/68/14 with a S475. I run the 62/68/14 as a single now, and will be building the twins soon. Chris at E.D. wants to set up my S475 with a 77 or 78 comp wheel, with a 1.15 a/r turbine with their race cover.
I am doing this combo and Chris at E.D says that will be good for high 700s.
I have ran a 62/65/14, 64/71/14/64/74/14.
The 62/65/14 was a GREAT towing turbo, byt sucked for racing. It ran out of top-end to fast.
The 64/71/14 was a nice Daily Driver turbo. Pulled nice, but was alittle laggy. I tow a 30' travel trailer and you would have to drive with the pedal to keep EGTs down.
The 64/74/14, AWESOME drag racing turbo, laggy as all hell and was useless to try to tow with.
Now, I have the E.D. 62/68/14 with E.D.s "super62" wheel and their race cover. I just took a trip with our 30' Travel Trailer weighed in 12.5k.
This is THE BEST turbo to date. Spools GREAT, still have to watch EGTs but not as bad as the other two.
To give you an idea about power, I raced a buddy who runs a 09 Mustang that constantly pulls 13.2-13.3 1/4 mile times. We raced 3 times and I beat him by 2-3 cars each time in the 1/4. The CompD calculator says my truck is between 525-550hp.
I am running a set of Westons 5x.012" injectors with some work. The truck the way I have it tuned is CLEAN at WOT. I have a slight haze at WOT.
You can get brand new S475s for $585 from here.
